Nina Locker

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Nina Locker is a partner specializing in securities litigation and counseling in the Palo Alto, Cal., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She has represented companies and their officers and directors in more than 50 shareholder class actions and derivative suits throughout the United States. Ms. Locker also has conducted internal investigations for boards of directors and audit committees and defended corporations and executives in SEC enforcement matters involving allegations of accounting fraud, reporting failures, and insider trading.

In recent years, Ms. Locker has won shareholder lawsuits on behalf of Juniper Networks (N.D. Cal. and Cal. Superior Court), Brocade Communications (S.D.N.Y.), Genesis Microchip (N.D. Cal.), New Focus (N.D. Cal.), Network Associates (Cal. Superior Court), Guidant (N.D. Ill.), and Mobility Electronics (D. Ariz.).

In 2003, Stanford Lawyer featured Ms. Locker in its cover article “Do the Right Thing,” which discusses how securities litigation has changed in recent years and how Ms. Locker is helping clients implement systems to detect fraud and improve corporate governance practices.

After graduating from Stanford Law School in 1984, Ms. Locker clerked for the Hon. Anthony Kennedy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She earned her undergraduate degree at Yale University, graduating in 1980 with a B.A. in interdisciplinary studies. She is admitted to practice in California and Georgia, before the California Supreme Court, and before numerous federal district and appeals courts.

Ms. Locker has been at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati since 1985. She has chaired the firm’s Nominating Committee and is a member of its Policy Committee.
